Why We Started, and What We Refused to Do
Nuvis grew from a frustration that's probably familiar to anyone who's spent time at the intersection of sustainability and branding. Too many agencies were willing to dress up hollow claims in beautiful visuals — to make greenwashing look considered, to give performative purpose the aesthetic of genuine conviction. The work looked good. It said nothing true.
We wanted to build a studio that refused that bargain. Not loudly — there's nothing contrarian about caring about honesty — but as a fundamental condition of how we work. The brands we partner with are doing something real. Our job is to make that visible: to translate real values into a visual language that earns trust rather than manufacturing it.
That means we stay small. We take on fewer projects. We ask harder questions before we ever open a design file. It's a slower way to work, and we think it's the only way to do this properly.
